    After securing a third place last year, ORTEC wins the 2016 edition of the Mathematics Olympiad for Businesses.

    It’s our pleasure to announce that last Friday, January 22, 2016, ORTEC won the Mathematics Olympiad for Businesses, a yearly competition held for business in the Netherlands. Represented by Erik van Holland, Remco Tukker and Wouter Kool, the ORTEC team earned first place at the competition, which had a total of 93 participants from companies like ABN AMRO, ASML, Cito, CBS, Deloitte, ING, Optiver. PGGM and EY.

    Yesterday 10 students of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics received the Young Talent Encouragement Award (Jong Talent Aanmoedigingsprijs) for their academic results during the first half of this academic year at the Royal Holland Society of Sciences and Humanities (KHMW) in Haarlem. These students earned the highest grades in the field of mathematics. The Young Talent Encouragement Awards -an official charter and an amount of 500 euros-  for mathematics students were made available by ORTEC to promote the study of mathematics.
