Data Analytics, Forecasting & KPIs in E-logistics, a lecture by Goos Kant and Frank Ferro at Nyenrode Business University

A successful web shop relies on good logistics: inventory management, storage, order picking, shipping and delivery. Speed and customer satisfaction are crucial, and even more important is fulfilling the promises you make to your clients. Data Analytics and Forecasting go hand-in-hand with logistics and have significant impact on its efficiency and effectivity. The E-logistics program of Nyenrode Business University and Logistiek Academy provides practical advice on how to organize, execute, monitor and measure E-logistics. During this program, Goos Kant (ORTEC) will give a lecture on Data Analytics, Forecasting & KPIs in E-logistics.

On the 27th of March 2018 Goos Kant, partner at and board member of ORTEC, will give a lecture on “Data Analytics, Forecasting & KPI’s” at the E-logistics program of Nyenrode Business University and Logistiek Academy. Goos will do this together with Frank Ferro, Director Insights at PostNL and board member of the Big Data Alliance.

In the lecture, Goos will discuss the difference between KPIs used in E-logistics and those used in traditional logistics, how to make these KPIs measurable, and what forecasting techniques are available and how they are applied in E-logistics. In addition, he will share some practical cases in online retailing and parcel delivery. Frank will share how PostNL has entered the digital transition in e-Commerce. During the lecture Goos and Frank will also explain how to organize a Data Analytics department and how to execute Data Analytics projects.

The lecture of Goos and Frank is a perfect combination between theory and practice and shows the impact Data Analytics and Forecasting have in creating efficiency and effectivity in logistics.
