Join our Hackathon: help us reduce CO2 emissions through Smart Industry
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the primary heat-trapping gas emitted through human activities. As such, CO2 emissions are the most important factor behind climate change.
Do you have smart ideas that can help us reduce CO2 emissions in industries like energy, transport, housing and urban development? Then join our Hackathon
at the High Tech Center Delft on March 10-11, 2017! ORTEC has partnered up with HTCDelft, KPN Consulting, Koning & Hartman, and The Hague University to organize this inspiring 24-hour event focused on developing prototypes for CO2 reduction.
Bringing hardware and software together
During the hackathon, participants will be asked to develop a working software application and a hardware product to reduce CO2 emissions. Solutions will be judged based on their potential impact. HTCDelft and The Hague University’s Beta Factory have a 2000m2 production space with state of the art equipment which will be at the participants’ disposal. Participating teams will receive expert guidance and 30-minute workshops so they can learn to use tools like Arduino boards, 3D printers, laser cutters and Microsoft HoloLens.
Hackathon teams will be organized by HTCDelft to ensure interaction between students, young professionals and experienced hackers. Don’t wait too long to sign up, registrations are open until March 5, 2017! We look forward to seeing you at the event.
